UGuardU Customer Stone Phillips Launches Website
January 27, 2012
Football is a very popular sport in our work place. Scores, games, standings, and stats are all frequent topics of discussion. But there is an aspect of the game that is seldom talked about: traumatic head injuries. Football players are at the most risk. Consider theses stats:
At least one player sustains a mild concussion in nearly every US football game. In high school games, there are approximately 67,000 diagnosed concussions every year. In July 2007, The American Journal of Sports Medicine reported that more brain injuries occur in football than any other sport.
Stone Phillips, the highly regarded NBC News correspondent, has recently launched a web site on this topic. It is a subject he understands well, having himself suffered from concussions received as a high school and college football player. Mr. Phillips, a customer of Technocom’s UGuardU video surveillance system, has asked him to help get the word out.
Please join Technocom, UGuardU and Stone Phillips in elevating awareness of this issue. Visit his web site at http://stonephillipsreports.com to learn more. There you will find information, videos and links to support research. We encourage our friends and customers to “Like” this web site, follow along, and become part of the conversation.
Let’s encourage and support youth sports programs, but let’s keep the players safe too.
